Frequently Asked Questions

Curious about business careers or exploring education options?
Read some of the most common questions for your student.

How can I tell if a Business career is right for my child?

Students can show their business prowess from a young age. Lawn mowing, dog walking, and other common childhood start-ups are one sign your student might have an itch for business. If your student shows leadership skills or is competitive, they might enjoy the fast-paced world of business.

What kinds of jobs exist in Business?

Every organization, ranging from public service to private business, requires  different forms of business functions to be successful. Accounting, finance, and administrative roles can be found commonly across industries. More creative roles, like marketing and entrepreneurship, are also found within organizations but can easily be pursued solo. These job options provide opportunities for students to work in a career field or industry they are passionate about.

What are the benefits of learning Business in high school?

Students who start their business journey in high school have a head start  to enter the workforce or pursue a relevant degree after graduation. Through career readiness education, students learn technical skills like finance and business planning. Through project-based learning, students in the Business Pathway also develop their leadership and communication skills as they solve real-world business problems.
